Relocation support is provided to employees who are required to move from their home country to work in a SKAO location. Our relocation support package is flexible dependant on individual circumstances. Typically relocation support includes reimbursement of removal and shipping expenses, familiarization visit, short-term temporary accommodation, and associated travel costs. In addition, support to help you find accommodation and settle into life in a new country can also be provided, along with other incidental relocation expenses.

In addition we offer an international support allowance to colleagues employed on international contracts. This enables individuals to claim reasonable out of pocket expenses incurred due to relocation for a period of 6 years whilst employed. This allowance could be utilised for English language lessons, short-term schooling costs whilst children are transitioning schools, costs associated with the sale or release of property in your home country such as lease penalties, etc.
